now that's "gay."

please fuck off.

You are without a doubt the loudest anti Sasha mouth on this forum. reading your older posts reveals how twisted you are.

Yeah. The problem is not so much sasha himself. Or the level of sucking he does or doesn't do.
The problem is: It's always sasha.
Oh god how do i get sick about always reading that name everywhere.
Kinf of Rich coming from you isnt it? Considering you were not so very long ago also one of the loudest anti sasha mouths on this forum. Interestingly you have calmed down a bit and I suspect there is very good reason for that.

Hello Neil,

Remember U2 in the late 90's, when they wore tacky nuclear-ish orange combinaisons and used already sooooo dated techno sounds? the ecstatic media branded them as great innovators.

Remember when David Bowie tried to make "drum and bass"? he was also percieved as sooooo avant-garde....

The mainstream needs the "underground" to rejuvenate itself, nothing new about it. It's just like these old men buying themselves a Harley Davidson or fucking teenages gals to feel young again, you know, like Kevin Spacey in American Beauty... When they start "innovating" like this, it's a sign the end is near...
Maybe Sasha feels old or smtg? ;) Dunno, one thing for sure: personaly I am not goin to bash him because by using Live, he contributes to destroy the stupid stereotype it is for "sad little men" making underground techno in "mummy and daddy's basement".
Hope Sasha will eventually change your perception too...

Cheers

Ben

Why do you give Sasha so much hassle? Because he's in the press and youre not?
If you lot are so good and cutting edge, where are you in the press and club/events scene? Im sure most of you have been using ableton for years, well done, congratulations.. You want a medal? Is Sasha really taking the jam out of your donuts? Sasha has always been an innovator yes, why do you think he's been in the top 5 dj's in the world for the last 10 years or so, and still is? Because he's one of the best at it, techinally and musically.
How do you know he only uses 2 channels in Live at a time? Because someone took a photo of his screen when he had just 2 channels up there? The Essential mix, he had about 6 things running at once on several occasions.. If you dont know the music, youre not going to know what he's doing are you? Ive seen him use it a few times, and i know what he does with it, he's constantly remixing tracks live, making new vibes and changing the sound of everything.
And for you information i heard he was really pissed off about the P.R thing, its not how he wanted to be billed or perceived.
Why do you lot give him so much shit when he's actually helping the scene grow and move forward.. Theres not many that are doing it, and making it work, if so please send me a list of what dj's in the top 100 dj's that use Live.
If you dont like what he does, fine, im sure most of you bang out obscure techno grooves that are so underground they only sell about 50 units..
I dont get why people knock people when they get recognised? He's helping you guys, a lot.. You should be grateful.
If you lot are so good and cutting edge, send me your mixes, would love to hear them and compare..Its so sad to read how you "underground geeks" are trying to make out Ableton's all yours all the time..

Sad little men..

:D

Sasha has benefited more then anyone in the world by MDMA's ability to
change a simple delay plugin to the greatest spiritual epiphany ever!

Too many people have stood in circles repeating what the coolest of the
group said "Sasha is the most awesome DJ ever, this is the best night of
my life, I really, really love u mate, I love u too mate"....

Then come 10am.... "Dood what the fuck are u doing in my car, I take you
to see some shitty DJ and now you want me to buy u breakfast!!!"

I did listen to his album (the real one, not the remixes).

Sounds like he does know his music. I liked the themes behind a couple of
the tunes, but then he washes it all out with the same overkill delay effects
he uses on everything. Kids on 15 pills just love when a DJ "skillfully"
turns the delay feedback up.

here's my observation.
I admire what sasha did in these 15 years.
The reasons why I don't really feel sasha set now is very predictable for me. Maybe just I simply listened too many mixes of djs. (maybe nerd)
The combination of each song's motif are not so unique.
I guess just because to satisfy majority of crowd, he spin progressive trance. He weight Beautiful synth sound comparing funky groovy sound.

But his sound quality is always good. Shitty djs(includes me) are not good at enhance the club sound system. So, when he start to spin, the sound difference from the previous dj is obvious.

I still check all his works, and it seems worthy for me.
so, I got his mixcd released 2005 only in Japan.
(I'm just selling on ebay)
It has a value of the price.

Ah 16 bit. How've you been

Yeah. like i said above and pretty much most other people....
Don't like his music. Don't care...
But it's boring reading the same thing over and over.... (same applies for pc configuration threads, political flamewars, mac/pc threads,.....)
But more and more people are starting to write tutorials, so the signal to noise ratio is definetely changing.
It's been worse around here then these little threads.

I don't even know who Sasha is, but if he's as big an asshole as those who seem to worship him, I don't want to know who he is...
