Best quality Firewire Audio Interface = / < £300

Hi there,

Ive been using the SoundBlaster 2 Ex Platinum audio interface for years now, I have always had latency issues and other problems, and would like to upgrade.

Can anyone recommend the best sound quality Firewire Audio Interface, which will eliminate latency problems.

I have around £250 - £300 to spend.

Hi, It depends on what sort of ins & outs you want- I use a PreSonus FireStudio Mobile and I am very happy with it-nice sound and a latency of under 10ms. It also comes with Studio One software which I have recently upgraded to he full version-excellent simple DAW and mastering.
I also use a usb ESI UGM96 for my laptop and it is amazing for such a tiny unit, stable latency of 6ms.
I am running windows 7 64 bithome on a quad core AMD system.
There are lots to chose from though.
