I have a booked called Dance Music Manual, and it is a great book. I would recommend it to people just starting out. It has a chapter in there dealing with the spectrum analyzer. This is what confuses me.
My question is...How do I know if my song is reaching all the frequencies by viewing the spectrum in Live 8? All the spectrum seems to be doing is bouncing around (which I'm sure this is what it's supposed to do), but how do I tell if my track has all the right frequencies by viewing the spectrum?
If anyone could give me a little insight I'd really appreciate it.
I've been reading, watching tutorials, and practicing non stop. I can make all my own sounds now and I understand how all the synths work. I've gotten alot better by putting everything I got into it. But, one thing I didnt learn yet is mixing and mastering. Now, I need to start teaching myself how to make my tracks sound good. I know all the music I have down is good. I just need to get my tracks sounding more professional. And I've just been confused on how to know what frequencies are missing by viewing the spectrum. My spectrum bounces all over the place and I only have a very instruments and one drum rack in it! lol. Confusing.
Any help would be great!
Thanks guys!

Re: Spectrum in Live 8
turn Average and Refresh all the way up in Spectrum for less "jumping around".
