Scenario:
I have 3 projects I am working on which I keep jumping back and forth on. I realized last night that the issue I have with going in circles with my workflow is that each project has stuff in it that I like and some I don't like. I am trying to merge all the stuff I like into one project keeping all the effects and mods I have done to them already.
I have tried the following alredy:
1. Opened two instances of Live and copy from one and paste to the other.
2. Opened two instances of Live and tried to drag and drop from one to the other.
3. With one instance of Live open, I copy the track I like or clip I like, close that project and open another project and paste.
All 3 of these have failed. I am trying to copy both Midi and Audio tracks. I have done some changes and effects on each that will take me tons of time to replicate.
Has anyone got any tips on this. Basically how to merge tracks from different projects into one?
Is it even possible?

Re: Copying clips, etc to another project
Open the project folder in Lives browser and drag the clips into your set.
Re: Copying clips, etc to another project
If you organize your stuff so the clips you want are all on one track you can drag the entire track into your set and grab all the clips. If you have 8 tracks per set just create a new set w/ 24 tracks, drag over what you want, then combine as you see fit in the new set.glenn303 wrote:Open the project folder in Lives browser and drag the clips into your set.

Re: Copying clips, etc to another project
If you have your set open, you can just drag them from the folder pane on the left. You don't need to really open them in a new folder. expand the folder until you see the projects you want to drag from, and drag it right into the project. To make it easy, just name them so you know which ones you want and drag the entire channel over. It'll copy all the settings, automation, and clips.
