I understand that when you buy Live you are licensed to install on up to 2 machines as long as the copies are not running simultaneously. I was searching and someone mentioned that you can sync up a demo version of Live or Live Lite to a full copy of Live as long as you don't "need the extra features".
My wife and I DJ together (at home mostly) using Live. We recently bought Komplete 7 and a midi keyboard and are experimenting with one of us adding extra effects, instruments, and drum loops via the keyboard while the other selects tracks and lines up mix points. Do you know if we could use a copy of Live Lite or Demo on a laptop and sync it to our desktop running the full version so that the keyboard/effects person can get a chance to have their own version of live to setup vsti's, add drum loops etc, and monitor what they want?
Is there a better way to do this than run 2 copies of Live?
Running full version of Live and demo synced together
Re: Running full version of Live and demo synced together
After thinking about it further, I think for our purposes (adding effects, drum loops, etc) it might just be better to run one computer, one copy of live and have the keyboard setup with good macros to switch between modes and control the parameters we like. I realized my soundcard has 3 sets of stereo outs, so I will be able to setup a monitoring mix that is separate for the keyboard person.
