custom controls: looper-station

Post by sham-79 » Fri Mar 25, 2011 10:13 am

I recently used Ableton to ape a Boss RC50 loop station using 4 instances of looper each on its own track, I control it with a Line 6 short board in USB mode. It's actually a lot better for work flow and works over 4 channels and unlimited scenes not 3 of each like the RC50.

Whilst this works well enough what I'd really like to able to do is assign the foot switches to a number of controls on one track and be able to port these controls to just the highlighted track by selecting track up/down. this would give me an unlimited number of tracks to expand my looper-station with but I don't know how to do it.

Also, if at all possible to further improve workflow, I'd like to be able to set up a command button that ejects the contents of my bank of loopers to the next empty line of clip slots at once, is it possible to this?

Cheers for any help,

S

Nobody knows how to do this?

I'm also atempting and so far failing to use an old PS2 and Wii remote to control ableton on my Windows 7 64 bit machine. I know it's possible because I've seen the vids on youtube but I can't seem to make it work...a simpletons guide please anyone or point me to where I can find one.

Are there patches for this kind of thing with Max? I dont own it yet but am considering the investment.

Cheers
