Any way to do batch export of group tracks in a project?

Hi

I'm going through all my tracks and exporting the stems (group tracks) at 192KHz. Each stem takes up to half an hour to export at this sample rate.

I'd like to be able to set Live to solo and export each Group track, one after another, so I can just leave it going over night, or while i'm out.

Is there any way to do this?

As far as I know, not with Ableton. Are you a mac user? You could use something like Automator or AppleScripts to probably achieve what you're wanting.

Thanks Yoseph - i'm actually on PC.

I had a look on maxforlive.com to see if there was anything on there I could use, but no joy.

Clearly Ableton need to update their export options. I think most other DAW's have had these features for a while now

well, i'm not sure about Logic, but i think cubase and reason have nice export options, where you can select all the tracks or groups you'd like to export, then just leave it running. to be honest, it should be very simple to implement for any daw

There are some export options in Live. Try clicking where it says "Master", here you'll find what you're looking for I think. Don't remember what it's called right now but there's an option to export each track individually. Have a look.

oooh, now we're getting somewhere! Unfortunately though it has "all tracks" but not "all groups" .... maybe if groups are closed it will treat them as tracks - i will test it

Honestly don't know about groups.. Possible workaround is to record the output of the group channel to a new channel? Consult the manual....

booo! ... When you select "all tracks" it renders every individual track, as you'd expect, but also each of groups, and the return channels.

Bit of an overkill really - I only need to render 5 or 6 groups. Also, I don't want the return channels separate. I would like the master output coming form each individual group.
