I have found a big bug with my setup (and ilok) - emailed support just there. If anyone can reproduce this - have an audio track set to record with laptop mic input. Normally, with high volume coming from the speakers youll get massive feedback. Thats fine. I set all the monitor controls to "off" instead of "in" or "auto" to avoid this and save it as such.

Now - when I open a live set, without my ilok plugged in (if it needs it), ableton isnt reading my default monitor settings until i press the "quit" button on the ilok dialog. So I get ultra feedback until i press quit. This is totally new. Didnt happen on 8.2.1.

so no stability improovments or bug fixes outside the max integration..interesting.. so L8 is really a dead end road and one will have to upgrade to L9 to get a stable setup again.. in case L9 will be really a rewrite that clears up a lot of things..

Not to argue too much with your opinion, but have you looked at the release notes? To me, it looks like there are many Live fixes outside of Max for Live, no?

totally solid stable release, m4l improvements and simple download... been trying to activate Traktor 2 for 2 hours now, NI should take a leaf out of Abletons book!

If you have 8.2 or higher installed, with a complete Library, program only is fine, as said on the website.

On installation

It installed packs

Analog
Collision
Electric
Operator
Tension


I don't have these instruments in my version of live, why doe the installer install them?
