Installing the new 8.2.2 just the program or with sounds?

I'm using the lite (Fender ver. 8.2.1) and wondering if I should update the program or program with the sounds? Does the "With the sounds" version create a new sound library folder?

I had the 8.2 version and upgraded to 8.2.2 program only, as the site recommends. Sound libraries were also updated. Not that I was paying much attention but a message popped up asking whether I wanted to replace some of the existing sounds, so it must have added new ones as well.

I have updated before but I remember vaguely that after updating the whole program, I found a new sound library folder which I later deleted.

I downloaded 8.2.2 without. I see that the new app is about 458MB while my old 8.2.1 is over 2 GB. Why the difference? Should I not delete the old app?

It's fine if you delete it. I did so and it works fine.

The bigger the application file, the more sounds and updates it has. But this is only an installer, it adds and updates things in the library. After that, it's only used to open the application. So once you get the newest version, you don't need the old application file anymore. Hope this helps.

Download Ableton Suite 8. If you've already installed Suite 8.2, you can use the smaller, "Program only" installer.
