akai mpd 32 beat repeat/ableton question

[dj mush]

have the mpd32 for few weeks now but i still don't understand something.
(have a akai mpc 2000xl and there its no problem)

the beat repeat:
when ableton is not playing, and i press beat repeat and a pad, then
the beat repeats nice and tight.
the moment ableton is playing, the repeat does not play regular.
its like there's a swing/groove added, but it doesn't play nice together with ableton.

swing is nog on on the mpd,
swing is nog activated in ableton...

can someone explain how to solve this?

also two other issues:
- when i tap the pad without beat repeat, the sample is played instantly.
but with beat repeat activated its like theres a delay in activation,
so my beat of the pad that is triggered in beat repeat plays off beat...
very anoying...

- when i slave ableton to the mpd, so enabling 'ext', in order to let mpd determine the tempo...
then i can't seem to start ableton with the transport controls of the mpd.
(with my mpc i had to enable midi send, and then i could use the mpc as master).
how should i do this?
i want to play with my mpd together with a dj, so i want to be able to set tempo with the mpd,
then activate ableton via transport button on mpd.
so i don't have to touch my laptop during my set, only adjusting tempo on the mpd and hitting play.
