sampler "glide" bug?

hi there!

i'm using ableton's sampler to build an instrument that repeats itself every octave, meaning that no matter if i press C2 or C6 on the keyboard, it will always play the same pitch of the note C. so far it works perfectly. now i want to activate the glide-parameter to make smooth translations between the notes and this is where the sampler just ignores my octave assignments and starts playing the notes in their correct order again. why? is it a bug? do you guys have that, too?
