Serato SL3 as audio interface for Live

I have an SL1 and unfortunately Rane never released CoreAudio drivers, so in my search for a new audio interface I'm faced with two options:
1. Buy a new audio interface and keep the SL1
or
2. Sell the SL1, cop an SL3 and use one audio interface for everything.

Can anyone share their experiences using the SL3 as an audio interface with live on OSX? Am I trying to do too much with one box?
