VIZZIE inside ableton

some exciting developments!

This project is merging with the really amazing V-module project to create a set of comprehensive jitter tools for Live. If anyone here is interested in testing and/or developing this project, the author of V-module and I have started a google group to build up a community and push these plugins forwards. Join us!

Wow this is very nice! I like the way all the effects/modules/in/outs are separate! It makes a lot of sense working with video in Live now.

I've just uploaded an update to VIZZable.

changes:
All parameters can now be automated with clip envelopes
Code cleaned up
Scribbler bugs fixed

It's also 100% compatible with the incredible V-module plugins now too.

a few things to come:
* effects to be bypassed when plugin is turned off
* Pwindow disabling to save CPU
* modules to auto-connect to other adjacent modules (some one else in the jitterinmax4live group is working on this bit)

I think with the addition of drop down connection and clip envelopes, VIZZable is now at a very stable stage. I'm using it live and it's holding up like a champ!

While you're sufficiently far along that this might involve some "not invented here," I'd like to mention that the upgrade of Vizzie that apppeared alongside the new release of Max 5.1.8 includes a number of new modules that you might find to be useful - some more than others, I imagine.

2DEALR, a control module that routes data based on a breakpoint value.
JITTR, a module to adds random "noise" to a data stream.
MEDIATR, a decision-making module that works with two data streams, outputting the average, a random or an alternating value from the two inputs.
ZAMPLR, an idiosyncratic up- and downsampling effects module.
CYCLR, a step sequencer that produces output in the 0-1 data range that Vizzie uses.
MOVIEFOLDR, a movie selection module that allows you to select from a folder of video content.

In addition, there are a couple of modules up in the Cycling '74 share area, more to come, and a tutorial in the queue which includes something I think you'll like.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm actually installing the new max and ableton tonight so i'll be sure to check those out!

I just upped another update to VIZZable.

Effect modules are now bypassed when the plugin is deactivated. Effects with more than one input default to input 1.

This is a small update but should go along way to improving workflow. I'm now chaining up effects in a group and then toggling them on and off rather than modulating every parameter. Much better!

I just uploaded a big update to the VIZZable suite of Live plugins.
Changes:

V 0.9.2
All modules can now auto-connect
All module's preview windows can be disabled by clicking

Viewr GL optimised
Viewr can now toggle menubar in fullscreen mode
Viewr acts as a central hub to all other VIZZable modules allowing toggling of module preview windows and setting global resolution for all modules

New Previewr device, similar to viewr but without global controls or fullscreen
New Zamplr effect module

Playr has several performance improvements
Playr now properly saves loaded movie folders with live set
Clicking the Playrs name below the preview window activates a FPS meter and unique frame toggle for performance monitoring

VIZZIE preset code removed - presets can be saved in Live browser

The autoconnect code is thanks to Chris Gough in the Jitter for Live google group.
The whole suite is running much faster and is easier to use.

Can someone help me out?

I can't route video between VIZZable plugins. I can load up clips in PLAYR but can't get the video into and effects or even the VIEWR plugin.

I have tried switching from auto and selecting channels manually but nothing is transferred.

hey, we haven't had any other reports of this problem so i'm guessing it's something to do with your set up. can you see video in the preview windows of the grabbr and playr?
are you running live 8.2,2 and max 5.1.8?

I can see the video in the preview window of grabbr and playr but i cant get it into viewr or any other effects.
