Arming Multiple Tracks?
Well, it IS Ableton LIVE, so how would I record a jam session, as in multiple instruments at once, on this lovely program? I have only figured out how to arm one track at a time so far...thank yoos

check your preferences. there is an option that makes it so you can only have one track in record mode at once, just take that off.

True. Jessemiller.
Meaning Arm Exclusive.
You can also do this via hovering over the record button, right click on you mouse (PC) and selecting said Arm Exclusive tab..

However, if you don't want to disable Arm Exclusive (which can be useful in some contexts), you can also Ctrl/Cmd + click on the record button, which will arm that track without disabling all the others.
The reverse is true too: with Arm Exclusive disabled, Ctrl/Cmd + clicking will arm that track, and disable all the others.
So long as you have a free hand for the keyboard, you can get the functionality of either setting without having to hit the preferences menu

Hehehe, not gonna lie - I actually read just about every page of the Ableton manual when I got version 7. It's been really helpful, and the manual IMHO is really well written. Whoever wrote it (Dennis DeSantis I think?) definitely understood their audience and did a great job, and I recommend it to everyone.Gregory Wells-King wrote:Clever stuff, your someone who ate the manual, I will have a go later..
