Setting Up Non-Native Midi Controller

So my audio bridge is a Tascam-122 MKII, and the midi controller in question is a Roland XP-50. When I go to the midi control selector, it just doesn't show up. I know it's not supposed to be in the native device list, but aren't I supposed to get something?

Hi, I assume you're connecting the Roland via MIDI cables to the Tascam, so there should be an input & output line in the MIDI tab in Live's preferences for the Tascam. If not, check if the Tascam needs to have some drivers installed.
