Guidelines and advice for a large/long set or mashup?

I've been a long time tinkerer with Live, but haven't put together any long form stuff.

So now I want to arrange a 1-2 set of songs with a lot of mashing up and added samples.

So I'm looking for advice on how to organize it in Live and what issues to plan for - like ram limits and things.

I wont be performing it, but I need a quick and clean workflow because I dont have a lot of time for experimentation and mistakes.
