Okay first of all dude, chill out.

Now, if you're getting bad sound quality, I understand why you're frustrated. That can be a very real issue with Live. I got really mad about it too when I began using it. But understand, Live is not an MPC.

And here's the thing: after I learned more about Live I found that it's capable of a lot more than you'd think at first. Here's the deal, Live is set up by default to use as few resources as possible, which I think it does very well given what it does. Unfortunately, many of the default settings are less than ideal for studio work when quality is more important than performance. So what you need to do is change those settings.

Which settings you ask? This video includes some good ones...

Why even bother to reply to the OP. Given his overall tone, I doubt he will seriously consider ANY solutions presented to him. His mind is made up. The software sucks. Sure, in the past, talented individuals have created masterpieces using only a small fraction of the technology available to us today. However, that was in the past. This is now. A DAW is supposed to sound perfect to the musician, without any work and/or thought being needed to do so.

I should be able to open up a session, hit play, and walk away a millionaire. Boo on you Ableton, for not implementing this feature.

BUT, Live is on CPU hungry side to begin with, so with all these HQ settings On....
Basically, when my songs go beyond 10-12 tracks, i find myself moving to Reaper3 or Sam8. And it's a shame, because otherwise i love Live best.

Perhaps the OP should consult with 3phase.
