Move start and end point of a clip with out the play jumping

How?

so I've assigned a knob on my MPK25 to the loop/clip start and a knob ot the loop end/clip end

it moves it around nicely but when a sample is playing the play jumps around which I know it's doing to "keep in synch" but I'd like it to just keep playing

I've turned off every single quantization setting I can find but maybe there is one I'm missing.

I realize you can do this with the sampler/simpler but I need the sample to speed up and slow down with the master tempo and I need to be able to do this in real time. I'm not going to have time in the middle of a live set to resample something into the current master tempo being played at....

Is this the type of thing that something like Kontakt is better used for?

I think this might have to do with "clip update rate" in the preferences..

If not then I need to figure out what that does cause I've never known.

That's definitely how you can change its behavior but the options only go from 1 bar to 1/32nd ... It'd be nice if there was a "please don't" option
