live 8.2.2 wont launch in finder

so wierd

just upgraded 2 days ago, i remember it working ok first day.
now when i launch it it just bounces in the finder (mac osx 10.6.7) and then i have to force quite.

earlier i deleted it and re downloaded it and re installed, worked all day and now same thing.

only now the new installs wont launch off the bat.

i have deleted prefs, and every other app works fine.

this is just another long line of instability issues ive had with live 8, not tryin to be a sourpuss sorry.

any ideas please help i wish ididnt delete 8.2.1 and now i cant find a download for it.

Have a look for messages using the Console app, there may be some info there. Often a vst or au problem can cause this, you could try removing them to see.

This is also one of the relatively rare occasions when repairing permissions can actually help.

Try trashing your Live folder and re-copy from the installer download.

Try trashing ~/Library/Caches/com.ableton.live/cache.db

You could try installing into a new user and see if that works.

it was a au/vst! i just installed demo of grm 3 the other night and when i pulled it out it worked:)
