Error Message - Cant "Save Live Sets" 8.2.2

I have recently upgraded from 8.2.1 to 8.2.2 and now i cannot save any changes in my live sets,
I receive a pop up box saying "The File H:\Ableton blah blah project als" could not be opened.

I have tried using the "Collect all and save" feature whilst creating a new folder elsewhere and this seems to work, until i reopen the song file again and try to save further progress.
I get the same error message.

Also "Save live set as" (then asks to replace original)i say yes, it says the same error message.

Any ideas please?

Could possibly be an issue with Authorization if its not letting you save, not sure though. I'd say with a serious issue like that I'd contact Ableton directly by emailing them. To save you and Ableton some time in the email give a detailed explation of the problem (obviously) and include the version of ableton and the spec of your pc/mac.

I had a reply from technical support
Seems there is a problem with the preferences.cfg file

I had to rename it so that ableton on re launch would create a new one.

Then reactivate my plugins folder and everything works fine now including the save live set.

If anyone else has to do this heres how:

C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live x.x.x\Preferences\Preferences.cfg

To make the appdata folder visible, a user has to do the following:

- Launch the Windows Explorer.
- Click on 'Organize' -> 'Folder and Search Options' -> 'View'.
- Check 'Show hidden files and folders'.

When renaming this file Live will create a new one and start in it's default state. If the problem persists you can delete the new preferences file and rename the old one back.

Please also delete .asd files, if there any in the preferences folder.

Update

It continued to save my tracks for a few times but then came up with the same Error message!
Now im back to square one...

Sorry to hear your having problems contact ableton make it clear your pissed at the situation!
