seting up live with a mic

so ive got most of everything worked out, i was able to figure out my setup useing ableton with creative Xi sound cards...

Im able to get my cue out to my headphones using some of the rear channels and then configuring 3/4 output

so my next adventure was using shoutcast, then i discovered that i was unable to output to shoutcast and use a mic at the same time


Ive now bought a M-audio fasttrack and a at2020 mic...

how do i configure ableton to input from a usb to a channel....

Im using a apc40 and a mk49

Ill detail a little more of the setup..

I run ableton with 4 audio channels i load up about 50 tracks then mix thur them..
I use to (be i got shoutcast working) be able to hit the record button and talk in to my pc mic, but when i configured the output correctly for creative Xf to work my cue to work and shoutcast i lost my ability to pick up my mic..

Did you ever do the built-in Live tutorials? If not, launch live, choose help from the menu bar, and then select 'help view'. Follow at least the first half of lessons. You'll learn a lot more than how to hook up a mic.

No I didn't even know it had that, ill check it out when I get home

help files didnt do anything for me.... most all of that stuff ive figure out on my own over the last year or so
