Slice to Midi Loop Problems

Hey everyone. I'm encountering some difficulties with the Slice to MIDI feature. I get an audio clip to a near perfect loop level, totally seamless. I then crop that sample and slice it to a MIDI track. The problem is that, when playing back the sample as a clip, it encounters a hiccup at the end that simply isn't present in my original clip. It's subtle, but it's enough to make the track sound very amateurish, and I'm not sure what to do about it. I've messed with the attack and decay settings, I have a choke group activated, everything seems to be in its right place. Why is my looping sounding so choppy?

Is the loop length an exact multiple of the slice length you have chosen to use.
Slicing doesn't take account of warping settings - could this be relevant?

Wait, that makes no sense. You can't slice without warp on, yet it then ignores the warping? To tack on a question, how would I slice a pitched version of my clip? I tried adjusting transpose, but the end result was the normal pitch. Do I have to copy the warped clip to a new audio clip, then warp, then slice?

Warp. Pitch. Consolidate or freeze then flatten. Slice to midi. Its a bit frustrating but ultimately just a workflow issue.

What exactly is all of this consolidation business? Is it simply a matter of freezing the clip then copying it to a new audio track? If so, that's not too bad on the workflow.

Okay, that worked like a charm. Now there's just one more hiccup. It seems when I flatten the track, it doubles the length of the clip for some reason. Not a huge problem because I can simply change warp marker positions, move the loop brackets, or truncate the track, but still, seems kind of odd. Any reason this is happening?
