Trying to install Max update on my new Mac

I just got a quad core i7 Mac (the one that boots in 64bit) and I'm having a hard time getting the Max presets to show up.

I've installed Max.. Ableton sees it but no plugins are listed.

I had it installed on my other Macbook and I looked to see where, for example, the Schwarzonator was stored and its in User/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Library/Presets/Midi Effects/Max Midi Effects.

This location doesn't even exist on my new comp.

It gets as far as the Midi Effects folder and that's it.

I can see the .mxo files inside the Max folder inside Applications but as I said, they aren't showing up in Ableton.

Can anyone shed some light on what might be going on?
