current O2 controller reviews please!
current O2 controller reviews please!
I have the option to get Live 4 and this controller for under $400 USD, then the free upgrade to 5! BUt- is it worth it for the O2? I know it only has 2 octaves and half travelling keys, but other than that, is the controller decent?
PLEASE all thoughts welcomed. I have done a few searches on this on the forum but I would like some current up to date results from users using the O2!
Thanks!!!
ps, for a little more, i could go with a different controller, get the EDU $250 Live 4 and buy a seperate controller like photon x25. I have an Mbox for a soundcard, but may not mind a controller with ins and outs.

For the price it's ok, but it is one of the cheaper feeling keyboards out there. I returned mine and got a Edirol PCR-1m instead, much more solid and programable.

It's nice, but I need more knobs
I used to have a UC - 33 (thing) but sold it and now I regret it
I'm thinking of buying one off EBAY for like 139 and using it along side the O2
It's a nice Keyboard - it's chill...but as time goes on you might run out of knobs to twist
The keys on the O2 work fine for me but then again, I'm different and grew up in the ghetto

I have both an O2 and an Oxygen 8, and like both, but use the 02 more often. It's smaller, and fits nicely in a small suitcase for travel. I too wanted more knobs and tweaks, so I've added a trigger finger and will probably add a BCR2000 soon as well...my thinking being that I'd rather have a mad scientists laboratory, providing I don't spend all my time tweaking controller definitions, which is, after all, hell on earth.
Eventually, you get around to music. O2 + Laptop + Live and a few synths, and you've got your own soundstage.
