anxious level meters - bug?

hello
i've come across a strange beahviour in live today.
i opened a live set and every level meter was very very jumpy and jittery.
so i created a new live set with only one operator playing a steady sine note and the same beahviour occured.
have other users experienced similiar issues and may have a solution?

just de- and reinstalled the latest version of ableton live.
didn't help. don't know what the origin of this problem may be.
help needed!

so the problem is solved.
for some reason the buffer on my audio card was pretty high which resulted in a big latency.
i set the buffer down again and everything is fine now.
