Audio glitch/dropout when using MIDI to "Select Track"

Post by merges » Wed Apr 20, 2011 5:12 am

I'm using Live 8.2.2 and a Faderfox FT3. It sends MIDI note messages to "Select Track" in Ableton. When I do this in a set with about 8-10 tracks, mostly audio, not a lot of plugins, I get audio dropouts/glitches. Has anyone seen this?

On an MBP Intel Core Duo 2.4, Mac OS X 10.6.4, Live 8.2.

I had the same problem with my APC40. The problem are the USB ports on my IBM x60. I have to use a certain USB port to get no dropouts. Maybe it's your MIDI interface connnected to the wrong USB port?

It's USB straight to the Mac. :-/ My audio interface is a MOTU Ultralite mk3 connected by FW.

Try the other USB ports.
