color coding

Post by Steffen Zimmer » Thu Mar 24, 2011 9:36 am

hi,

I wish that, when you select a entire scene that, when you are coloring the main scene select button, that the whole scene becomes this color in arrange view and in clip view.

This surely cannot be difficult?

Thankssss

You could just select the all of the clips in the scene and change the color

Also, it helps to color the tabs where you enter text. This is a huge help in making mixdowns easier. Just select all clips, change the color, and then change the tab color. It will make your life a lot! easier.

hi, but that is not what i am talking about. just as well if i have 23 tracks or if i have 200 tracks in a project, it makes more sense to have the whole row or scene or column in the same color because in my case, i am working on projects way passed 40 tracks and if i have 6 scenes for a brigde or a intro or whatever, i think that it would make work easier if you like in my case used the same color for each of these parts in all of your projects..

anyway, its a feature wish list right? losts of my projects have large amounts of tracks, and it would not be very difficult for ableton to do this feature.

heyho... actually, what i meant back then, was that, when selecting the scene, that the whole scene got highlighted. i never wanted to change the colors of the clips.. damn.. i explained myself badly it seems...

and in fact, its still not done. the little lighter grey ableton switches to when selecting a scene, is not really a solution. specially when you have loads of tracks and all the places for clips are full. its dificult to see sometimes.

sorry.
