one string bass, midi implementation too. hopefully i can get my head round it and work out how to use it in ableton. i feel a live 8 upgrade coming on

heh heh, yeh more than i thought : tea chest bass, diddley bow, monochord, riti, gonje, bucket bass, duxianqin, gopichand, umuduri....to name a few. probably plenty more i reckon. and there's one more now :wink:

well i might have got the name wrong or something but there's stuff on youtube about it - i was looking at something called a dan bau from vietnam and that got mentioned

i need to get a 13 pin midi cable now, to see if i can get it to work in ableton. i just been twanging it like a normal bass and ive hurt my finger. sounds mint, cheers everyone :D

is it out of line for me to ask how much something like that costs to have built?

oh and what pitch do you have the string tuned to? i'm guessing E
