how to multiply voices of particular instrument?

as in subject; I need to multiply voices of any instrument. I can of course duplicate the track, but as I need it only for few seconds - it would be waste of track. Any ideas?

If by that you mean you want to route the audio to another track, you can do this and both audio's will be heared unless you choose otherwise or you can use the Sends chanel's and route audio either Send Only or both.
