Has anyone tried this? Hothand Controller

Just stumbled over this:

did somebody try this?

seems like a downside of it is, that you have to keep one hand in a certain position all the time...

but it looks fun!

I have the wah pedal version for guitar, and it's a much cooler idea than it is an actual product. Calibrating the ring is a pain in the ass, and having to keep your hand in a specific position/angle can get old after a while.

The ring isn't actually position based, but acceleration-based (using the earth's natural acceleration due to gravity to figure out how our hand is adjusted, which makes any quick/precise controls pretty hard to manage.

Based on how it's working in the video, it seems like it functions better with MIDI control.

Sucks that the wireless ring is 100 bucks extra on top of the cost of the pedal.

For the wah pedal, it seems like more of a gimmick than a useful tool. It's a lot of money for a pretty decent implementation of an effect with limited usefulness.

The MIDI one might be better, but I imagine once the novelty wears off, it'll sit in its box most of the time.

this just seems really gimmicky, I can adjust 4 faders at once with a single hand, this is just very limited.
