iPad
Re: iPad
I don't "get" google readers. Can somebody please explain. It sounds like some kind of news aggregater with Google being a hub or something. Is this just one of the 1,000s of other things Google sticks it's nose in and is hoping to be the be-all-end-all of whatever it is?

Though I will say that Google has, for the most part, scored some home runs. For instance, remember how I was bitching awhile back about not being able to find an excellent and free/low cost simple image viewer with thumbnail and slideshow features and whatnot? Google to the fucking rescue with a very respectable program called Picasa. Mac and Windows based, it's got a few hinky details that need sorting out, but overall it's a great app. And FREE.

I have almost no personal pictures but if you're saying it provides a great way for making instant porn slideshows then I'm listening.LoopStationZebra wrote:THIS.beats me wrote:Is this just one of the 1,000s of other things Google sticks it's nose in and is hoping to be the be-all-end-all of whatever it is?

And if I already use apps like Zite and Flipbook then carry the 3, add the 4, subtract the 5, divide by 7 and you get ZERO VALUE ADDED with google feeds?

Here's how out of the loop I am. I never did anything RSS until the iPad and then it's on apps that do it brilliantly and elegantly. The Carpet Cleaner wrote: I use google reader just to save online my rss feeds, but I Almost never use the online client. I MUST CHECK THIS OUT.
It’s a major concern of mine to not have my porn mixed in with my iPhoto albums because when I die somebody is going to go sifting through that collection looking for heartwarming photos for the funeral and then they’re going to come across those pictures and I don’t even know those ladies.
Not to mention iPhoto’s slideshow themes with the noodling guitar track is too distracting for the task at hand.

LSZ. You never commented on the iPad South Park episode. This is required viewing.

As usual, I've lost track of which thread this should be in, but here's a nice little market share article...
