Problem with Rendering, Mix prints with FEEDBACK!

Post by kellermcdivitt » Thu May 05, 2011 7:48 pm

8O

I'm trying to bounce the mix I've been working on all day, and the resulting file sounds like something is self oscillating and just turns into complete feedback after 20 seconds or so.

Anyone else experienced this?

It seems to start when the vocals come in, which are bussed to an instance of Lexicon PCM Reverb, and Soundtoys Echoboy. Playback within the session is always fine, so I'm not sure what it is.

Every other option i'm trying (trying an online bounce by creating a dummy track with a hardware insert, and recording onto a new track fed from the Master) is getting equally frustrating.

I'm getting audio dropouts galore. This is terrible. My CPU is reading around 60%.

How do you guys get your music out of this thing?

Same thing happening here but only if I try to mix down at a different sample rate to the hardware and only when using the plate, vintage plate or room algorithms.

I.E. if my hardware sample rate is 44.1kHz and I try to mixdown to 96kHz, this problem occurs... If I open the set at 96 and mixdown to 96, no problem. Open at 44.1, mix at 44.1, no problem.

I guess the workaround is to re-open the set at the required mixdown sample rate.

Hope this helps.
