I would like to record automation but not the audio. Anyone know if this is possible?
The reason for this is that I record my sets, often 1-3 hours long, with up to 20 tracks. Sometimes I've had problems with Ableton successfully recording the audio when file size gets very large. So instead I would prefer to use my RME interface recording function for the audio (it is optimized for very long multitrack recording), then later bring these tracks into ableton so that the automation from the performance can be applied or edited.
