MFL Collection by The Covert Operators

Post by hoffman2k » Sun May 08, 2011 12:57 pm

This is a collection of our best MFL Devices. The package contains the Sixteen Macros, Snapshot Morpher, Clip Mapper and MIDI Note Editor devices.

Detailed info on how to operate the devices can be found inside the Help window of each device and by reading the Info Texts of the parameters on the devices.

Some devices come in a MIDI and Audio Effect version so that they can be used inside MIDI and Audio Effect Racks.

this is a pity, snapshot morpher parameters don't appear within touchAble.

Yeah, this is because its impossible to dynamically change the name of parameters that are loaded.
The 16 dials that are there always keep the same name.
While it appears in the GUI that the name changes, this is just cosmetic.
The only way to get the names to TouchAble would be OSC.
That means that I would need a message from the app telling when and what device is loaded. And then I can send the labels to an OSC address that is already there.
An OSC message containing the iPad IP would be useful too. That would mean zero configuration for the user.

I'm glad you bring this up. Since it has already been asked by some of our users.
This is a problem with all MFL devices that display dynamic names. But if touchable were to support a device like 16 Macros, that device could be used as some sort of parameter wrapper. So touchable wouldn't need updates to support other cool future MFL devices with dynamic labels.

Yeah, definitely sixteen macros would be a fantastic tool within touchAble!
I'm going to check all of that with Christian, my partner, the smart guy behind the code :)
I wish I could be able to code, maybe in 2075 :)

i'll let you know.

Hey Hoffman,

The snapshot morpher doesn't work with "blue hand" automap. Is that fixable? Could you point me in the right direction?

cheers

I'll look into this. Everything has been set up for Automap to work. But apparently there's still a bug.

Can you tell which controller you are using and if there's any pickup/takeover mode in use?
I'm testing with a BCR2000 and it seems to work perfectly

APC40 - all modes

Sixteen Macros is working fine, but in Snapshot Morpher I control loadbox and quick load buttons instead of dials, both in audio and midi version.
