Automating pitch with Massive?

Post by Nova- » Mon May 09, 2011 2:04 am

I'm running Massive (the VST), but am having trouble finding a way to automate pitch. I can't find the transpose function anywhere, and it's not recognizing 'global tuning' in Massive for anything other than strict pitch changes. Nothing else I can find has worked; is it even possible? Please don't suggest any other VSTs.

Ok, I sure the answer to this is going to result in hanging my head in shame/shaking it in disbelief at how remedial I am, but I am trying to automate the pitch of my bassline in Massive and I cannot seem to find the right parameter in the drop down within my DAW for the life of me…

Ok, so firstly (I'm assuming this is a patch you created) make sure you have a pitch range selected in massive. You can select the pitch range under the osc tab, which is above the 1st Envelope tab.

Once you've selected the clip you want to automate the pitchbend in, open the clip's envelope by clicking on the little E next to the music note. The top drop down menu should be selected 'Midi Control' and the second drop down menu should be selected 'Pitch Bend'.
