For some reason The velocity editor isn't working for me at all like it used to. I can select all of the notes I want to edit and everything works as it should, but it's not changing the sound whatsoever like it should. I'm sure you can see why it would be frustrating to not be able to edit the velocity of a pair of hi-hats. I don't believe I've changed any of the global velocity settings, but I know that with every new Live Set I open up the velocity still doesn't work.
thanks again.
Velocity Editor not working? Drums
Re: Velocity Editor not working? Drums
Is the device set up to actually respond to velocity?

Re: Velocity Editor not working? Drums
how do you set up the device for velocity?
I'm using a drum rack with samples I've pulled in for the drums and I'm just trying to edit the velocity of the hi-hats.
thanks a ton!

Re: Velocity Editor not working? Drums
If you doubleclick a pad on the drumrack, the Simpler for that pad will open up. You can then set it up for velocity on the far right side of the Simpler device.
You can setup an empty Simpler with the settings you'll want as defaults and save it into "Library/Defaults/Dropping Samples/On Drum Rack" so you don't have to change this (or any other setting) every time you drop a new sample onto Drum Rack.
