Thomas, I'll have to try that wrap setting. I agree w/ you about Granite. Though, I really like Granulator as well, different sounds.

Hey ThomasHelzle & andrewbrewer, thanks for your insight. I bought Granite at the end of last year and I really like what you can do with it. I'd probably have to put my hands on it (Granulator) to get any more detailed info than you all gave right here.

So, thanks again :)

Just purchased Granite. It won't load AIFF files, only WAV. Manual says it loads both but so far it most definitely does not, neither the OSX AU version nor the standalone version. At the moment I'd have to say it's buggy software, and a complete waste of $80.

Edit: Issue fixed promptly, see post below.

Aif works just fine here, but I'm on Windows now.
Did you try different aif? Maybe it can't load some of Apples funny encoded ones (have seen that before).

Otherwise you should contact them: http://www.newsonicarts.com/contact_support.html
They were very helpful when I had issues.

Cheers,

Thomas

I must apologize. This issue has been fixed in the latest build but is not yet available to the public because it contains the 64 bit version which is still being tested. I received support on the issue very quickly and should have waited to hear back from them before criticizing. They were very helpful indeed.

That is mighty good to hear :-)
I have only good things to say about Granite and the company.

I have to say now that I've had some time with it, Granite is amazingly smooth, excellent.

These are both fantastic granular processors, both in terms of flexibility and quality. Best of their kind IMO. And thank you to Robert for making such a wonderful instrument available to everyone, a generous example of the sharing community at it's best.

But where can I find the "additional GranulatorInput device"? :)
Library>Max Audio Effect>Granulator by Monolake.
it's called ml.Granulator Input.

you know, there is a lesson about Granulator(and the new MFL devices) in Live's help view.
I don't seem to have ml.granulator input anywhere. Do I need to reinstall Granulator? If so, the installer won't overwrite. How do I uninstall to reinstall?

Thanks!

Hey everybody,
i have a big problem and cant figure out withit...
i have opened a midi slope, dragged the granulator in it, dragged a sample in the window...actually i can see the waveform, everything seems to be cool, then i play with my master keyboard a C3 note, i can see the midi signal coming in (on the left of the device, the yellow spots) but have no sound and the "cursor" does not move in the waveform window...all my in and out pluggs seem to be ok...i don't understand...maybe someone could help?

linking M4L LFO to a multitude of Granulators parameters can generate some interesting sounds :D
