Browser Preview Volume Setting

Post by R7 » Sun May 15, 2011 9:16 pm

This may already be possible, but I have searched and searched for a way to do this without success. Basically my gripe is that when you preview samples in the browser they play back at full volume, 0db. But because the samples are pretty much always normallized by the samples company, and if you're like me and like to keep alot of headroom when mixing you track, the samples that preview play out massively louder than the track I'm working on. Because I have about 6dbs of headroom in my track, the monitors are turned up to make up for it, so the samples play at uncomfortable levels. So I'd like maybe just a simple button in the options box to set the preview play back volume to either 0db or -6db, that's pretty simple and would keep me happy.

No idea if this annoys anyone else...

on the right side, right to the left of the masterfader is a knob with a headphone symbol. use that to control the volume of previewed audiofiles.
