Re: Record Audio and Loop
If you're in Session View, there's no way that I know of - but you can trigger the clip to start looping after two bars, or you could trigger the "stop clips" button. Doing these with a mouse is hard to do well, so I recommend using MIDI mapping or key mapping.
I think the Looper device might be useful for you here? It's under Audio Effects in the device browser. I think it might have a setting like that.

You can sure do it with Looper, but regular clip slots will do it too. Just takes a bit of practice.
Set the quantization dropdown to 2 bars. Arm the track (I assume you know how to record into a clipslot) and hit the clipslot to start recording, and then HIT THE SAME CLIPSLOT BUTTON during that two bar loop. It doesn't have to be on beat, it should be BEFORE the ending beat of the second measure.
That second hit tells Live that you are going to playback beginning on the start of the next measure after the number of measures you set for quantization. So if you set quantization for two bars, it will begin playback at the end of the second bar- regardless of when you hit the button the second time. If you set it for 4 bars, it will record thru four bars, and then begin playback at the end of those four bars. You just have to hit the clipslot button a SECOND TIME during the recording. Don't worry, it won't stop the recording.
It takes a bit of practice, but you can really just hit the clip to start record, and then just a second later hit the clip again and it will automagically know that you mean at the end of bars you select.
It works great with a foot pedal like the FCB1010. Looper does it, but loops don't automaticaly turn into clips, so there's an advantage to learning to loop in a clipslot- you can then do all sorts of happy clipslot stuff without missing a beat.
Hope this helps.
