Playback and Cues and Click tracks - Need Help

Post by estevan carlos benson » Mon May 23, 2011 12:34 am

It seems that I do not know how to use the cue function despite my attempts. Let me describe my goals and hardware:

1. I have an m-audio Fast Track Ultra which contains 6 outs (3 stereo)
2. I want to send a mix out of one stereo pair (1/2) and a click track with the mix out of another stereo pair (3/4)
3. I have not figured out how to do this properly.

Can someone run me through this? Does anyone perform the same or similar task? Can you describe your setup and project file?

Cheers.

Turn on the Inputs/Outputs view. Set your Cue out to whichever outputs you want your Cue on. Above the Cue knob is a "Solo" button, make sure you change that, to make sure you are using Cue instead. Now the Solo buttons should all be Cue buttons.

If you are doing click tracks, it might be easier to just have an audio or return track set specifically to Output audio to the channels you want it on.
