midi to an audio track in live 8

Hi

I have recently upgraded to ableton live 8 and i can no longer seem to send the output of a midi track to an audio track

One of my favourite plugins is GetaBlitch vst which is a midi controlled gater. It takes midi notes from a seperate midi channel, such that for example the C1 note at a given velocity will tell the plugin to allow the left channel of audio to play at a given volume

All my tracks that use this plugin no longer work in live 8. If I click on the 'MIDI To' drop down box on a midi track it now only lists the other MIDI tracks, not the audio tracks as well.

Has this feature been dropped or is there a bug in my copy? I'm running a new pentium iMac with the latest OSX

just tried it on MAC with 8.1.1 --> works fine for me

i have one audio track with GetaBlitch Jr. and one MIDI track and route the MIDI output into audio track 1/1-Getablitch Jr

Hi,

I'm having exact the same problem, trying it with MEqualizer (http://www.meldaproduction.com/freevstp ... alizer.php) and in MIDI tracks there's no way to send MIDI to an audio track. I just can choose sending MIDI to MIDI- and/or instrument tracks.

I tried another way by adding the plugin in an instrument track (without instrument loaded) -> MEq receives MIDI!
As soon as I load an instrument into this instrument track, the audio plugin doesn't receive MIDI any more...

My intention is to play an instrument and sending the notes AND the instrument's output at the same time to the plugin...

I'm using OS X SL and Ableton Live 8.1.1

help or a workaround needed please!

@stb (Stefan): I don't have the routing option for MIDI in audio tracks. There are just audio input options. I also can't route it on the MIDI track.
What can I do to getthis routing options?

Allright, I think I figured it out: the plugins I tried to load on an audio track obviously aren't recognized as plugins that are able to receive MIDI by Live, so I don't have the mentioned routing option.
I tried this plugin (it's free): http://www.meldaproduction.com/freevstp ... alizer.php

This doesn't work.

Then I tried several other plugins (e.g. Mr. Alias Pro fx - also freeware) and they DO receive MIDI (means: I get the routing option on the MIDI track).

So I assume it's on the programer's side, right?
