Hey all, I'm on kind of a budget setup right now for my electronic music making. I've been using nothing more than a drum pad device and using my comp. keyboard/drawing arrangements in MIDI clips for the more complex arrangements. I'm looking to streamline my creative workflow, however, with a nice MIDI keyboard. I need at least 49 keys (4 octaves) and velocity sensitivity. I've seen some nice stuff in this department from Akai, but unfortunately my price range is $100-$200 at the most. I found this guy:

which seems perfectly acceptable for my needs, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with it they would like to share. I don't want to end up buying a product that feels like cheap plastic or has limited functionality.

Nice, that looks awesome for its price. Anyone else able to vouch for it?

If this is the keyboard I'm thinking of, the knobs are absolutely terrible. They click as you turn them and each click is one CC value, which wouldn't be so bad but to go from 0 to 127 requires the knob to be turned ALL THE WAY AROUND MORE THAN ONCE. Not very convenient when trying to do filter sweeps, ect...RajahP wrote:

But, I suppose for the money....

Yeah, I read something about the knob clicking shit, which sounds stupid. I assume there would be a way to give each individual knob a different value per turn though? For instance, keeping something like oscillator volume at the default settings since micro-adjustments would be preferable, and assigning something like 50hz/turn for filter frequency modulation?
