Loading drums into Drum Racks / release times and volumes

Hey,

This might be quite a basic question but I've been trying to ignore this problem for a while - not been using drum racks that much but wanting to use it more.

The reason I've been put off is every time I import new drum sounds into the rack, they default to really fast / no release time and very low volume.

My question is can you change the default settings for importing into the drum rack / sampler so they have longer release times and higher volumes?

yes you can...just drag a sampler to each of your drum pads on the drum rack, change the settings,then save the rack in your library, or better yet, you can ctrl+option the title bar of the drum rack and "set rack as default"..the only downfall is once you save all your custom samplers to the drum pads, you have to drag the sample to the actual sampler itself....if you drag the sample to the pad, it will just revert to the default settings with the low volume and whatnot.
