Using Launchpad to play Scarcraft II or WoW?
or any other MIDI contrller to play games would be pretty cool. is there a way to do it already?

I'm almost embarrassed to say that the thought has struck me...
Well, if you were to make it happen, you'd have to make the controller in question send key commands. This can be done using Bome's MIDI translator. If you're on the Launchpad, however, you should consider upgrading to Automap PRO, which lets you send key commands with Automap.

I use my Launchpad to play L4D2 and COD4 on my macbook
The keystroke commands were working as "one shots" so you'd only move like, a step at a time.
I use Midi Katapult. It's like 25 bucks or something but it comes in handy more than just playing games
This didn't work for mesporkles wrote:.. If you're on the Launchpad, however, you should consider upgrading to Automap PRO, which lets you send key commands with Automap.

Oh, all right (haven't actually tried arrow commands myself), but seeing as lanebobane wants to specifically play SC2, I don't think moving with arrows is going to be a concern, as it's mouse + keyboard short cuts all the way.
