This is Ableton Live! forum, so i wanted to ask you - users of this DAW - to ask the development team of Live to add MIDI Out support from VST plugins, and if possible add SysEx output too, this will make Ctrlr much more usable, all events will be synced to audio and there will be no need for opening MIDI Out devices in the plugin (this causes problems on Windows, a lot of MIDI drivers don't allow opening MIDI devices more then once). I myslef only own a Lite version of Live that i got with my AKAI MPK49 keyboard so i can't really ask for this sort of stuff, but i imagine that if a bunch of users ask for this, it might be added.

A small heads up, i just finished testing the JX8P Ctrlr, a KORG DW8000/EX8000 editor beta is up. Currently J'm working on a Blofeld editor.

Once again thanks, and have fun.
Hi,

sending MIDI from a plugin to a MIDI out port is actually possible, although a bit limited. You can create another MIDI track and tap the plugin track's MIDI output by selecting the original (plugin) track in the "MIDI FROM" chooser.

limitations are:
- it's not possible to tap individual MIDI channels from the plugin (all channels are merged)
- a MIDI track can only send out data on one channel (1-16)
- tapping the MIDI output from a plugin currently only works with VST plugins, but not with AU plugins.
- SYSEX is not supported

Best,

Ok. I finally got the mopho and the vst talking. Am I right in saying that the all controls on the vst should mirror the mopho? This is not happening for me. When I change preset all the controls remain the same. If I move a knob on the hardware it will mirror that in the software and vice versa.
The filter is also behaving strangely. Go passed 127 and it closes completely.

I just found out about this and have a problem with the mopho vst(mac).
I get only cc's and progchange out to the mopho but no notes on the selected output channel!
Notes light up however on the pianoroll when i play them( on launchpad) but are not passed through.
Only if i acitvate in settings midi through i get note output, but not on the selected output channel(in my case ch03 aka the mopho), but only on midichannel 01 (aka another synth on my midichain). Whats the solution here?
I tried by putting the mopho vst in an instrument rack with an ableton external instrument , so that both are are sending midi from same track but this crashes live immediatly.
I want this to work so badly as the oficial mopho editor does not integrate with live and the mopho m4l patch isn't working either...
Is there anything else around that is working for the mopho? 8O

Has anyone actually got the mopho vst to work? This synth has been a pain in the arse since the day I bought it.
