Problem with MIDI Mapping

Post by themanateewarrior » Tue May 31, 2011 9:32 pm

So, I remapped my APC. when I change the MIDI map, there's a label that says "Note/Control" with a corresponding "1/C2 or Note C2." The button is remapped like it's supposed to, but that piano note sounds when I press the button. How do you make it so that no note sounds? For instance, if I set "Activator" in Channel 1 to activate Beat Repeat for Channel 1, it sounds a D2.

Do you have any instruments loaded into your set, and if so, is/are the track(s) armed for recording?

No instruments. Even if I have no tracks, audio, or anything there is still the keyboard note. I think Ableton thinks my APC is a MIDI keyboard. I checked and made sure I only have "remote" on for both input and output for the apc.
