Hi,
Has this happened to you, and if so, how did you fix it?
My audio data is no longer being saved along with my live files when I record them. I drag them into live from a download (a wifi transfer from my itouch), edit them, master an aiff recording, and save the project file. But when I reopen the song each track is yellowed out with the message "sample offline". I keep all of my live projects on an external Glyph drive under the path:
//music production/Live/Live sets
I have hundreds of Live sets, recorded in Multitrack DAW on the iTouch, and often master 20 or more to .aiff at a time.
It looks like these samples are being saved to the temporary folder:
/Users/adamhill/Music/Ableton/Live Recordings/
I have 105 folders (named Temp-105 Project)
It appears that they have been disaggregated from the project file that I named. When I try to drag one of these recorded samples (e.g. 0001 Guitar 1. aif) back into a Live track, it does not permit me to drop it in, so I can't audition these tracks.
I have Live 8.2.1 Suite running on an iMac 2.8Gig with 4 gig RAM. It runs Leopard 10.5.8. I have an APC40, a Novation SLMKII, and run audio through a Presonus Firebox. I run Waves NPP plugs, Superior Drummer, Reason 4.0. I have an unstable system with lots of crashing problems that I have not been able to isolate. For now I am just bummed that my song files are not where I thought I saved them.
Can I get these recordings back, and if so how?
Thanks,
--Adam
