How can I automate EQ of the master track?

What I'm trying to do is have the end of a song, as it fades out the volume, also fade to midrange too. I'm not sure how to automate the EQing of the master track. Any tips?

How do you automate your volume fade?

EQ's no different.

When I go to the master track parameters, it gives me the option to automate the tack volume and song tempo. I then use the draw tool to manually draw the envelope down(to fade out or change tempo). It dosen't give me the option in the master track parameters to change the EQ. Is there a way to use EQ8 on the master track to fade to midrange? Or is there an easier way to fade the master track to midrange?

That would be two parameters of the Mixer - there is a dropdown saying "Mixer" - when you click on that word you can choose every accessible device in that track, and in the second dropdown underneath you choose parameters. - Btw. have you by any chance activated the option to show automated parameters only? There's other parameters like Speaker On and Track panning...

There is no 'built in' EQ in any track in Live, you have to ad one. Just drag one - any - EQ on the track.

Is there a way to use EQ8 on the master track to fade to midrange? Or is there an easier way to fade the master track to midrange?

For what you want to achieve I would rather use the EQ3, a lot less parameters to accidentailly mess up.

And once you have added an EQ to the master track Angstrom's tip is a handy shortcut to see the automation lane for a specific parameter. I simply havent' thought of that.
