He layers a few kicks together (acoustic ones with 909's i guess, like everyone else)), and put a massive low sinewave underneath, and then sidechain everything heavy against it. Thats "all" really.. but then it goes thru a nice master-chain, to really sqeeze it all together. Love this sound still. :)

so most of these kicks that comes from this guy, isnt really an 808 on the low end its a sinewave huh. think sinewaves low end kick makes it sound better than 808?

A 808 is mainly a sine..so...
Its easier to just use a synth's sine directly instead, easier to know what note your playing, and control its ADSR etc.
