usb hub suggestions--launchpad

does anyone have any suggestions for a usb hub that can handle the power needed for a novation launchpad and a few korg nano devices. my current one cant handle the launchpad. (yes i have a power source). i cant go direct i have to use a hub.

What brand and type is the hub you're using now?

RIGHT now its just a radio shack model i bought like 5 years ago. I've had my launchpad plugged directly into my computer and it has worked wonderfully. However my computer has no firewire, and my recently purchased audio interface must go directly into the port (i assume anyway). that only leaves me one port and about 4-5 midi controllers i like using. I got my axiom 25 going into the audio interface via midi cables, but the lauchpad is killing the usb hub. is there a way to connect the launcpad via midi cables? if not i need a powerful hub.

Launchpad is totally dead now. i tried it with another usb hub and i think it fried the usb cord. i got no lights or anything, even on a different computer. does anyone know where to get a new launchpad usb cable?
